My Story:

After many years of climbing the corporate ladder only to end up in a complete burnout, I decided to do something for me. Something that would push me in a new direction, push me to put myself out there and not hide behind spreadsheets and budgets and politics and having technology mansplained to me every other day. Enter Swift Modern. 

Welcome to Swift Modern where I create pieces that well…I feel like creating. Swift Modern is a healthy dose of modern jewelry with a wink of vintage and unapologetic femininity. I use primarily 14k and 18k plated metals, resin, clay and then the pieces are then created and assembled by hand.

Swift Modern is about capturing a modern vibe with a little pop of the unexpected. Think minimalist design inspired by both modern and vintage aesthetics, whether architecture, interior design or the ebbs and flows of personal style. 

The Joy of Design

After many years of the corporate grind in marketing where everything has to be justified, revised, compromised, reviewed, aligned, rinsed and repeated umpteen times, I get to skip the nonsense and focus on what I love. And what I love is making jewelry that feels effortless and stylish. It motivates and gives me permission to be creative, to explore, and to sometimes just see what happens with a wink of an idea. 

I split my time between San Francisco and Palm Springs and I get loads of inspiration from both. SF tells me to find my minimalism, edit, and curate. Palm Springs tells me that you can never have pink  and yes, you need more midcentury cocktail rings.

I do not create for boss ladies or whatever this week's trendy meme is. However, I do want to offer more a more contemporary viewpoint, but hopefully with a nip of individualism.
